I've been wanting to sew a tote bag for quite some time now. I've just never gotten around to it. Don't really know why. I just haven't.
So this weekend, I buckled down and finally whipped one up. Much easier than I thought, even without a direct pattern to work from. There are a few things I would change...the straps are a tad too long and there are some ragged edges on the inside of the tote, but all in all, I'm happy with the results. Great fabric, huh? It's from a shopping trip I took to Ikea with Ellen way back when. So bright and summery.
Now, off to fill my bag with fresh bread, daffodils, and a copy of Jane Eyre. (Not really, but doesn't that sound so dreamy?)

Love it! I wish I had bought some of that fabric at IKEA. I guess I'll have to go back.
Once again, I am admiring your craftiness.
